When you have finished making your video, click the purple Output button in the bottom right corner of the studio. Select PREVIEW to get an email with a watermarked copy of your video, HOSTED LINKS for the un-watermarked link, popup and embedded code snippets for use in your website content management system, or VIDEO FILE OUTPUT for a downloadable MPEG-4 copy of your video.
The PREVIEW option will email you a link to your video which has a lifespan of 30 days. It has the word “PREVIEW” watermarked across the screen. This option is great for getting feedback from others before completing your video. The HOSTED LINKS option will give you access to your video with no watermark. This option will also give you a variety of publishing options such as email, pop-up or embedded players for your website, and the ability to select from our standard and compact player sizes.
If you choose HOSTED LINKS as your output selection your video will be stored in the MY COMPLETED VIRTUAL VIDEOS area on the FILE MANAGER page. If you opt for a VIDEO FILE OUTPUT you''ll get an email from out YouSendIt service containing a download link. Click on this link and save your video to your computer. Then you can upload it to YouTube, Facebbok, or wherever!
When you select PREVIEW as your Output option, an email will be sent to the email listed under your profile on your account. This email will generally take less than a minute to be sent. Check your spam folder in case it ends up there.
If you get a black screen at the end of your video, this is usually because your audio track is longer than your pictures. To remove this black space, open up your video in the studio and check where each of your timeline elements are ending. If your images and audio track are lined up where they should be, check your script length. If your script line is longer than the rest of your timelines then that is setting the overall length of you video. You can either make your pictures longer to cover this difference, or, simply delete the script. Do this by selecting the script in the timeline and hitting the "Delete" button on your keyboard.
NOTE: make sure your voice over has been recorded before deleting your script from the timeline.
Please be aware that if record with one of our professional voice overs the length of the finished voice & music mixed track is set by how long your script was. If you used a music track longer than the completed mixed track's come back from recording then you will find the old track is making your video too long. Select and delete the original music track and the project length will now be set to run to the mixed track's length.
At WEBSITE TELLY we've come up with some great alternatives for displaying your completed Virtual Videos. Our standard player is available n either 4:3/TV (360w x 270h pixels) or 16:9/widescreen (480 x 270 px) dimensions. If you opt for a Branded Player Skin surrounding your video (containing your own branding, colour scheme, and up to 6 hyperlink buttons) the these dimensions increase to 580 x 420 and 602 x 420 px respectively.
If you are a bit tight for space on the web page but want the added views that our embedded player offers, you can choose to output your video in our compact player. This is sized 300w x 250h and features mouse-over player controls. All WEBSITE TELLY players allow the viewer to switch to full-screen playback.
Go to the FILE MANAGER area of your WEBSITE TELLY account. In the lower right-hand corner of the screen you'll see the Upload File button. Clicking on this button will let you browse your computer's files. When you've found the right files click OPEN and they'll start loading to WEBSITE TELLY automatically. You can batch upload as many files as you want - they'll queue and process one after the other.
You can upload many different file types to use in making your WEBSITE TELLY Virtual Video.
Video files can be *.flv, *.mov, *.mpg, *mpeg, *.wmv, *mp4, *.3gp, and *.avi.
Image files can be*.jpg, *.jpeg, *.gif, *.png.
Audio files are accepted as *.mp3.
Remember to check our Terms & Conditions about issues surrounding copyright of materials used in WEBSITE TELLY videos.
The ideal photo for use in WEBSITE TELLY is a good quality image about 1,000 pixels wide and 600 pixels high. Anything bigger than this will be downsized and anything smaller than this will be upsized (with a potential loss of image quality).Because WEBSITE TELLY outputs videos in either 4:3 or 16:9 TV formats it's always best to use landscape aspect photos. If you do use portrait or vertical aspect photos you will still be able to move around them but you won't have quite the range of movement as with landscape or horizontally framed photos. You can upload individual files of up to 150MB but normally image files that are between 50 to 150KB look really good in video form. Remember, the better the quality of the photos you use the better you finished video will look.
WEBSITE TELLY processes images so as to show them as big as possible within the studio player and in the completed Virtual Video. If an image file (photo, graphic or logo) is uploaded WEBSITE TELLY will store it according to its minimum dimension - whether that is height or width. So if an image is very long but not very high it will appear full height in the studio but you'll have to pan across the image to see all its width. Similarly, if an image is portrait framed (very tall but not that wide) it will show at full width but you'll need to tilt up and down to see the top and bottom of the photo.
Sometimes company logos will require placement on to a larger 'canvas' (background) before loading to WEBSITE TELLY so that they can be viewed in full. This can be done in Photoshop or similar graphics programmes. The dimensions the background should be are 1000px wide by 600px high. And be sure to leave a bit of clear space around the edges of your logos/graphics in this layout otherwise the edges may appear slightly cropped. Remember, in WEBSITE TELLY, you can always zoom in to enlarge an image but you can't ever zoom out to shrink the size it was loaded up at.
There are lots of photo resizing applications and softwares available. You could try picnik.com WEBSITE TELLY will automatically resize any images that you upload, if they're way too big or way too small. Rememeber, the larger your file, the longer it will take to upload and process.
The answer to this really depends on your internet connection speed. Most ordinary photos only take a few seconds each. Audio files are much bigger but If you've got good broadband speed it will probably take around 2 to 3-minutes for each megabyte you upload.
Yes you can! When you've selected the Upload button in the FILE MANAGER, simply highlight multiple files in the Browse window and click Open. Your files will queue up and load one after the other.
In the FILE MANAGER you'll find a delete button under each of the files you've got stored in your WEBSITE TELLY account Don't worry about clearing out files that are used in your completed videos. When you output a finished video WEBSITE TELLY automatically makes a copy of the files used in your video. You can then delete the original if you want to.
Short answer is 'No!' As stated in our Terms and Conditions you must be authorised to use copyrighted materials in a WEBSITE TELLY video. This means songs, pictures, videos, pieces of TV shows...all have to be cleared for your use by the owners of the copyright concerned. It's possible to get clearances but it can be an involved and expensive process. Don't worry though - we've got over 1,000 music tracks that are copyright free and there for you to use. We also have over 1,200 pictures that are also cleared for your free usage. Enjoy!
The only thing you can do with the WEBSITE TELLY library music tracks is shorten them in length. Our licensing of these pieces of music prohibits the addition of sung vocals to create jingles. Check our Terms and Conditions for a full rundown of what you can and can't do.
Descriptions of music can be tricky. We've tried to come up with our genre headings to serve as general reference points for the type of music we've got on offer. Most business users tend to find the Positive and Motivation genres a good place to start auditioning tracks. Within the Half a minute genre we've used Soft Sell for a nice, laid back feel while a Hard Sell is an upbeat, fast and energetic style of music. A Medium Sell sits in between these two styles. (It's the same story when briefing one of our professional voice overs..)
Simply put, no. Our music library tracks are available in lengths from 30-seconds right up to 8 or 9-minutes for some of the classical pieces. You can filter the length of tracks you audition to review only options that run a certain minimum time. In WEBSITE TELLY you can only use one music track per audio channel so you can't add tracks together on the same timeline, but you can cross fade from one track to another. Once you've dragged a music track into the timeline it's available to you at the maximum length. You can shorten the track by selecting it (turns blue) to open the properties window. Move the blue slider to adjust the track length. Or, you can input specific time points in the start or end boxes found at the left and right ends of the slider.
Yes! See that thin blue line that runs through the audio track? That shows the volume of that audio track. You can adjust the overall level of the track by sliding the purple button at the right end of the the timeline that corresponds to that audio track. You can also mute the track by checking the mute box. You can also apply fades to the audio track by applying fade points to the thin blue audio level line. On a PC, hold down the CTRL button and use your left mouse click to create a point on this line. For a MAC, hold down the COMMAND button and use your left mouse lick to create a point on this line. Create another point a few seconds down the timeline. Dragging either one of these points down to the bottom will create a fade in your audio.
The stock images provided on WEBSITE TELLY are for you to use in your WEBSITE TELLY productions. You can't download them, save them, capture them or alter them in any way for use in another format or medium. Check our Terms and Conditions for a full rundown of what you can and can't do.
When an image is placed onto the timeline the default time it will play for is 3-seconds You can make this duration shorter (down to a minimum of 1-second) or longer simply by hovering your mouse pointer over the right hand end of the image. You'll see a double-ended arrow appear indicating you can just drag it either left or right to shorten or lengthen the image as required.
Once a video file has been placed on the timeline, simply highlight it by clicking it. This will open up the properties window. You'll notice a purple slider which you can adjust to alter the clipping (start and end points) of the video. Or, input a specific duration in the start and end boxes found at the left and right sides of the slider.
Click on the photo you want to adjust in the timeline. In the properties panel for the image, click on the Sync Frames option. Now, when you drag either the Start or End slider, both will now move together. Position the photo where you want and then turn off the Sync Frames so you can adjust your Start or End framing from that set poistion.

Figure on just over 2-words per second of video when witing your voice over scripts. For a 30-second video the maximum word count will be 72-words, for a 60-second video it will be 145-words. The WEBSITE TELLY script editor in the studio wil automatically count the words and estimate how long they will take for a voice to read the. This all happens as you type them and you can also copy and paste text from other documents into the script editor. Remember, to write out numbers i full for an acurate word count (so 153 is written 'one hundred and fifty-three), and provideo pronunciation guides on any words that could be confusing for the voice artist.
A Hard Sell demo is a very energetic and fast paced read. This style is good for a lively and punchy voice over script. A Medium Sell demo is less energetic and lively, but still gives a bit of punch to the delivery. A Soft Sell is a nice conversational tone with the added bonus of a gentle emotional sell. No Sell read is our most laid-back conversational voice over style. In the world of internet playback we find most WEBSITE TELLY users prefer to brief with either a Soft or No Sell style. It's a matter of being respectful of your audience and not screaming at them from their computer speakers which are probably a lot closer to them than say, a TV is. This might also influence the type of music you choose to use.
With WEBSITE TELLY we charge for a minimum 30-second video length when you commission one of our pro voices. This duration is calculated on the length of the script according to the script editors tally of the words you;'ve written. If your video script is 25-seconds long (say 60-words) you'll be charged for a 30-second script. After the first 30-seconds voice charges are calculated in 15-second increments. The WEBSITE TELLY studio will tell you how much your voice recording will cost before you're charged and the voice is ordered. Check the figures in the on-sceen prompt panel to ensure you know what you're paying for.
WEBSITE TELLY uses only professional voices who meet our required standards of production excellence.
